CALTAPEX 2026

The Calgary Philatelic Society’s annual fall stamp show and exhibition, takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, 2026 at the Kerby Centre, 1133 – 7th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta. The show is held in the ground-floor gymnasium, with hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, followed by a club auction from approximately 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.


Competitive Exhibition

CALTAPEX 2026 is an open-topic competitive exhibition — entries may be submitted on any philatelic subject, whether traditional, postal history, aerophilately, thematic, revenues, or one-frame studies. The Competitive Exhibits Application, Exhibit Entry Form, and full prospectus are all available for download from the CALTAPEX page. Frames are set up on the Friday evening before the show (typically 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.), and exhibits remain mounted for public viewing throughout both days. Club Auction and Society Activities

The weekend closes with the Calgary Philatelic Society’s popular club auction on Sunday afternoon, offering a broad selection of lots for collectors of every level. CALTAPEX also serves as a gathering point for members and visiting collectors from across Alberta and beyond, complementing the CPS’s regular first-Wednesday meetings and third-Wednesday auction evenings held year-round at the Kerby Centre. Venue and Access

The Kerby Centre sits directly beside the 7th Street SW LRT station with free on-site parking, admission is free, and an on-site canteen typically operates from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day.

Dealer Bourse

The bourse brings together a strong roster of Canadian dealers offering worldwide stamps, postal history, covers, supplies, and specialist material, with a tentative lineup including J. Garvey & Sons, Railside Philatelics, Royal William Stamps, Stampede City Stamps, Stamps for Collectors, Weeda Stamps, and Zatka Philately.
